Company History
Founded more than 25 years ago in Winter Park, Florida, Survey America,
Inc., initially conducted marketing research surveys using the traditional
methodologies of mail, telephone and "clipboard". While these conventional
methods are still widely used today, Survey America felt there had to be
a better way of gathering primary data.
Beginning
in 1976 when SAI developed and patented the first mechanical polling machine,the company has been on the leading edge of survey software development.PollMaker, the world's first marketing research software designed for use on touchscreen computers, was developed in 1985. For more than ten years SAI's touchscreen SURVEYCENTERSTM
have proven their efffectiveness surveying
hundreds of thousands of people across the United States and Canada.
Today, Survey America remains at the forefront of interactive marketing
research with PollMakerTM,
the first touchscreen system that creates surveys, collects responses,
crosstabulates the data and prints reports.
