Company History

Founded more than 25 years ago in Winter Park, Florida, Survey America, Inc., initially conducted marketing research surveys using  the traditional methodologies of mail, telephone and "clipboard".  While these conventional methods are still widely used today, Survey America felt there had to be a better way of gathering primary data.

Beginning in 1976 when SAI developed and patented the first mechanical polling machine, the company has been on the leading edge of survey software development.PollMaker, the world's first marketing research software designed for use on touchscreen computers, was developed in 1985. For more than ten years SAI's touchscreen SURVEYCENTERSTM  have proven their efffectiveness surveying hundreds of thousands of people across the United States and Canada.

Today, Survey America remains at the forefront of interactive marketing research with PollMakerTM, the first touchscreen system that creates surveys, collects responses, crosstabulates the data and prints reports.
